Lucky 13
|
Buckner's latest addition to the fleet is loaded on a ship bound for the U.S. The Liebherr LR-1400 /2 is the 13th of it's type belonging to Buckner Heavylift Cranes. The Liebherr LR-1400 /2 will be dispatched on the East Coast for remainder of the summer, after which it will go to a nuclear power plant. In keeping with construction lore, we will christen the machine CR-4414 to skip the unlucky number 13.
Other notable additions to the Buckner fleet for Spring 2006 are:
Tadano 60 ton truck cranes
Tadano 80 ton truck crane
Terex 90 ton truck crane (for crawler crane assembly)
Terex HC-110 crawler
Kobelco CK 1600 crawler cranes with luffing jibs
Manitowoc 777 crawlers
Manitowoc 999 crawlers
Liebherr LR-1750 crawler (825 ton capacity), the largest of Buckner's fleet.
Looks like it is going to be a very busy year!
